A leaf-shaped cutout of biomethane gas transportation from Granville Energy plant

Granville Energy Supply

Granville Energy Supply transports biomethane across Northern Ireland to power Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units using specially designed trailers, reducing customers’ need for fossil fuels, powering their manufacturing processes, factories and more.

Some of the CHP units supplied with biomethane include regenerated landfill sites where the natural gas has been depleted. By re-employing this existing infrastructure this has expanded the life of the engines and created more renewable electricity.

This Biomethane is transported by 100% renewably fuelled HGVs from the company’s very own fuelling station located on the Granville Eco Park site.
