Simpler Recycling?

New Simpler Recycling legislation came into force in England on 31 March, and affects all businesses and workplaces with 10 or more full-time employees.

The second phase comes into force on 31 March 2026.

It will result in hundreds of thousands of more tonnes of food waste being recycled

What does this mean for businesses now? What happens to businesses who don’t comply? And what’s coming round the corner?

These questions and more are answered by Jake Harrison, COO, and Sinead Fitzsimons, Local Authority Lead.

We’re working with a number of local authorities and businesses throughout the UK to support them in deriving value from their food waste to meet their sustainability targets.
