What happens to your food waste?

A great film from our friends at Love Essex and Essex County Council has all the answers.

From kitchen to kilowatt, the film charts the journey of our food waste, and at the heart of this process is Bio Capital’s East London Biogas plant in Dagenham. Turning up to 70,000 tonnes of food waste per year into green energy and sustainable bio fertiliser.

As we celebrate Earth Day 2025, the transition away from fossil fuels to clean energy is crucial for our planet and everything that calls it home. And all of us at Bio-Capital are committed to seeing that future realised.
